We had the awesome opportunity to physically track P33’s recent deer kill. Using her GPS collar points, Quinton was able to determine an area where P33 had just spent a night in one place, indicating a feeding site. With permission from the landowners, Quinton and daughter Ayla had some tracking fun when they found clear drag marks! They followed this long path in the rain all the way to a secluded bushy area where the deer was found, partially eaten and cached.

Quinton placed trail cameras to get some quality footage of P33 enjoying her well deserved meal. This is just another great example of the benefits of GPS collars, combined with some African tracking skills, giving us a glimpse of the private lives of these elusive cats.
